• White sweatsuit
• White sheets or gauze
• Tea bags

Tear white sheets into long strips. Gauze will look the most realistic but sheets work just as well. Wash and dry the pieces once or twice using plenty of bleach. Afterward, soak the pieces in watered down tea to stain slightly. Allow the strips to dry, then rub a little dirt on them for the finishing touch. Children can wear white clothing underneath their bandages. Give everything a dried out, dead look by applying plenty of baby powder to the sheets. Wrap each body part seperately, secure the ends with white or clear medical tape. Apply light-colored make-up where skin is showing. To give it a rotting effect, smudge dark make-up around the eyes, mouth, along fingers, under fingernails, and so on. Using make up and fake blood, scars and a few gash marks.

• Orange, green or brown hooded sweatsuit
• Large orange pumpkin leaf bag
• Newspaper
• Silk leaves

Cut arm holes and head hole in the pumpkin bag. Have the child put the bag on and stuff it with newspapers. Seal it at the bottom with tape. Attach silk leaves around shoulders and neck.

For infants: Use an orange onesie and a piece of green felt. After child is dressed, cut the green felt in a circle. Take another piece of felt and make a small stem, glue it on top of the circle with a glue gun. Attach a piece of elastic and put on baby as a hat.

• Bones, cut out of white contact paper
• White gloves

To create the bones, draw out three or four ribs for each side of rib cage, draw out simple limbs, no need to get extravagant. Apply to clothing. Paint face white and apply dark smudges around eyes, nose and mouth. If you don't have gloves, paint hands white.

Variation: Add bones to sweatsuit using white felt or fabric paint.

• Cardboard
• Craft paint in several colors
• Smock or white shirt
• Paint brush

Wear hat tipped sideways. Draw on a black mustache with eyeliner or face paint. Cut out an artist's paint palette from cardboard. Paint five or six circles in different colors around palette. Hot glue paint brush onto palette or hold in hand.

• 2 sheets of red, yellow or orange poster board
• Yellow, green, red, and brown construction paper OR craft paint

Cut the posterboard into 2 pie shapes (triangle). Then on one side of each piece, glue on red circles for pepperoni, brown splotches for sausage, green squares for green peppers, and yellow strips for cheese. You can use pieces of posterboard or construction paper, or you can paint them on. Then when you are done, use some more posterboard to connect the two slices, by cutting two long strips and attaching them to the wide end of the slice and draping them over the child's shoulders (imagine those signs that people where in the city streets, the walking billboards of yesteryear). Pizza!

• 4 pieces of white posterboard
• 2 pieces of cardboard (from nylon package)
• Gold spray paint
• Red lipstick

Draw the Queen of Hearts face on one side of the white posterboard, then just hearts on back side. Put a strap (scrap of material) stapling the two posters to fit over child's or adult's head on to their shoulder. Make gold crown out of nylon cardboard. Put a heart of lipstick on cheek.

• Black pants
• Black button-down shirt
• Black shoes
• White posterboard
• Rosary
• Bible

Create a priest's collar from white posterboard and insert into front collar area of shirt. Works best if you use a shirt that has the same type of self-faced collar as priests wear, or you could tuck under the collar points for a similar effect. Add rosary and bible. Especially a cute costume for a boy who is constantly in trouble!

• Any color sweatsuit
• Matching color construction paper or posterboard
• Black marker

Paint the word "crayon" sideways in black, and use the same color construction paper to make your pointed hat. Staple a string on it and tie it under your neck to keep it secure, you can paint your face the same color too.

• Lacy or frilly nightgown
• Nylon scarf or crepe paper streamers
• Ribbons, sequins, fake jewels
• Gold foil
• Poster board or party hat
• String elastic
• Tape
• Glue
• Cardboard tube/paper dowel from clothes hanger

Tape together a poster board cone hat or use a party hat. Decorate with glued on sequins, fake jewels, glitter, etc. Attach scarf or streamers to top point of hat. Punch holes on sides of hat, tie on elastic string. To create a princess scepter, use cardboard tube covered in foil, glue on sequins and fake jewels and attach ribbons to the end.

VARIATIONS:

• For a Fairy, cut a star from poster board, cover with foil, attach to dowel from hanger, tie ribbons underneath the star 
• For Miss America make a cardboard crown and spray paint it gold with glitter. Then make a sash from fabric or sheets and write Miss America on with fabric paint.,
• For a Bride, add a veil made from netting and a plastic headband. Carry a bouquet of silk flowers.

• Red & white horizontal stripe shirt
• Black jeans or sweat pants
• Boots
• Bandana
• Gold clip-on hoop earring
• Toy sword
• Plastic eye patch
• Face paint for mustache
• Small stuffed toy parrot (optional)

Fringe bottom of black jeans by cutting slits at the bottom of pant leg. If using sweat pants, tuck them into the boots. Tie bandana around child's head with knot sticking out at side. Clip on earring and put on eye patch. Attach parrot to shoulder of shirt with double sided tape or a few hand sewn stitches. use our face paint recipe above to create a brown or black mustache. Add a wide belt with large buckle as an added bonus.
